NLM Traveling Exhibit: Civil War Medicine

The National Library of Medicine traveling exhibit: "Life and Limb: The Toll of the Civil War" is now on display in the Kresge Library Lobby through August 31, 2016. The exhibit focuses on the treatment of war wounds at the time, particularly via amputation, and recounts the lives of amputee veterans after the end of the war. A digital gallery of images and digitized historical texts can be found in the exhibit's accompanying online gallery.
