What's New in PubMed

PubMed has recently updated its interface to make the search process more seamless and streamlined! Check out the following changes and additions!

Limits can help you refine your search results in PubMed and can now be found and applied on the left-hand side of your search results list!

The most utilized limits including publication dates, article types, and language automatically appear, but you have the control to add and remove additional limits as you see fit.

Select Choose Additional Filters to find more limit
options, such as ages and subjects.

You may remember the process for exporting PubMed citations into RefWorks using the copy/paste method, but PubMed now features Citation Manager, which allows you to download a file compatible with most citation management software.

Simply select the references you wish to save, go to Send To on your search results page > Citation Manager >
Create File > Save File. This creates a .nbib file that
may be uploaded into RefWorks, EndNote, and more.

It's up to you how you would like to export PubMed citations in the future, but now you have a couple of options available to you!

PubMed Health specializes in reviews of clinical effectiveness research, with easy-to-read summaries for consumers as well as full technical reports. These clinical effectiveness reviews are gathered from systematic reviews of clinical trials and inform the user of what treatments and prevention methods have been proven to work—and what remains unknown.

Conduct a simple keyword search and you may further narrow your results by type of information: For consumers, Clinical Guides, Database of Abstracts of Reviews of Effects (DARE), Executive Summaries and Full Text Reviews.
